The series D pumps involve designs in cast iron. They are characterized by a pressure-compensated construction which guarantees high volumetric and mechanical efficiency.

The pressure-compensated design of the pumps from Turolla guarantees a high level of efficiency over the complete choice of available pumped volumes.

The one-piece gear wheel / shaft design not only offers stability but also an exact profile. Each gear wheel - shaft combination is manufactured in hardened bearing steel, whereby extremely tight manufacturing tolerances guarantee minimum leakage. Over and above this, this one-piece design prevents the problem of material fatigue which very often occurs in two-piece designs.

All Turolla geared pumps use hydrodynamics which guarantee a permanent oil film between the gear wheel / shaft and the bearing surface.
